Taiwan Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (TSC) has officially released its 2025 Sustainability Report, marking the company’s fourth sustainability report since 2023. The report provides a comprehensive overview of TSC’s sustainability strategies and achievements across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects, highlighting the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen corporate governance, advance low-carbon transformation, promote responsible supply chain management, and create long-term value for stakeholders. Guided by its four sustainability pillars—Global TSC, Resilient TSC, Low-Carbon TSC, and Vibrant TSC—TSC continues to integrate sustainability into its corporate strategy and daily operations, steadily advancing its sustainability roadmap. In climate governance and low-carbon transformation, TSC continues to strengthen greenhouse gas management, improve energy efficiency, and increase the use of renewable energy, achieving tangible progress in carbon reduction. In 2025, the company implemented various energy-saving initiatives, achieving annual energy savings of 261,119.96 GJ compared with the previous year, equivalent to reducing approximately 30,754.13 metric tons of CO₂e emissions. Renewable energy accounted for approximately 42% of total energy consumption, reflecting TSC’s continued efforts to transform its energy structure. Furthermore, the company’s combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 2,135.69 metric tons of CO₂e compared with 2024. In product carbon footprint management, TSC continued implementing its ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint program and completed carbon footprint assessments for 24 product categories. Among its facilities, the Shandong site completed third-party verification and obtained product carbon footprint certification. The Shandong site also received provincial-level Green Factory certification, further strengthening its commitment to green manufacturing and environmental management. TSC remains committed to a people-centered approach and strives to create a safe, healthy, inclusive, and growth-oriented workplace. In 2025, the company joined the “TALENT, in Taiwan” Talent Sustainability Action Alliance and continued to enhance employees’ professional capabilities through diverse training and talent development programs. Average training hours per employee reached 53.4 hours during the year. In addition, TSC introduced an Outstanding Sports Incentive Program to encourage employees to develop regular exercise habits and participate in external sporting events. The Shandong site also implemented sleep health monitoring and health risk management initiatives to promote employee well-being. Beyond the workplace, TSC continued its commitment to social engagement through blood donation drives and various charitable initiatives, collecting more than 100 bags of donated blood throughout the year and extending corporate care to the wider community. In corporate governance and information security, TSC continued to strengthen its corporate governance framework, risk management, and information security capabilities. In 2025, the company completed the implementation and certification of its ISO 27001:2022 Information Security Management System, achieving a 100% completion rate for internal information security training and further enhancing its information security governance and risk management capabilities. In addition, TSC was ranked within the 21%–35% tier of all listed and OTC-listed companies in the 12th Corporate Governance Evaluation conducted in 2025. Regarding responsible supply chain management, TSC continued to promote local procurement, maintaining a local procurement ratio of over 60% of total procurement and reinforcing long-term partnerships with local suppliers.
