Seco has moved its Modular Vision 10.1 MX95 industrial human-machine interface (HMI) platform into mass production, making it available to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators developing new industrial interfaces or upgrading existing machine designs. Based on NXP's i.MX 95 applications processor, the platform integrates computing, display, industrial connectivity, and software into a single solution designed to simplify development, validation, and deployment. The Modular Vision 10.1 MX95 is designed for industrial applications that combine operator interaction, equipment monitoring, and local data processing. Potential use cases include machine interfaces, plant and equipment management, quality inspection, and edge AI applications that require real-time analysis close to the data source. Its integrated architecture lets manufacturers add more capable processing and intelligent functions without integrating each hardware and software layer independently. The platform includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen with at least 400 nits of brightness and a specified backlight lifetime of 30,000 hours or more. Graphics processing and AI acceleration are integrated alongside the i.MX 95 processor, with performance specified at up to 2.0 TOPS/8 eTOPS. The system supports panel mounting and includes front-side IP65 protection, integrated thermal management, and a wide DC input range for industrial operating conditions. The system addresses security and lifecycle management through hardware-based security capabilities that support FIPS 140-3 compliance and Clea OS, Seco's Yocto-based industrial operating system. The software environment provides security, software updates, and device management, helping OEMs keep connected equipment secure and manageable throughout its operational lifecycle. This approach also helps manufacturers prepare for evolving cybersecurity requirements, including those associated with the EU Cyber Resilience Act . Seco offers two memory configurations to accommodate different application requirements: 4-GB RAM with 16-GB eMMC storage, and 8-GB RAM with 64-GB eMMC. This lets developers choose a configuration based on their software, data storage, and processing needs. With mass production underway, the Modular Vision 10.1 MX95 provides industrial equipment manufacturers with a ready-to-integrate HMI platform that combines visualization, edge computing, AI acceleration, and software management. Availability through DigiKey also gives customers a way to evaluate the platform or source smaller quantities for development and deployment.
