Infineon Technologies, NVIDIA, Microsoft and UnternehmerTUM Accelerator have launched the Physical AI Growth Lab, an equity-free accelerator aimed at helping robotics and industrial AI startups move from prototypes to commercial deployment. The programme will run from January to April 2027, selecting 10 to 15 startups for technical support, mentoring and access to industry partners. For eeNews Europe readers, the initiative highlights the growing importance of combining AI development platforms with semiconductor hardware to bring autonomous systems into industrial environments. The Physical AI Growth Lab could provide early-stage European companies with access to technologies and customers that are otherwise difficult to secure. Physical AI Growth Lab connects hardware and AI development The accelerator brings together four organisations covering different stages of physical AI development, from simulation and model training to hardware integration and industrial deployment. Infineon will provide access to its semiconductor technologies, including power semiconductors, microcontrollers, sensors and connectivity solutions. These components form the hardware foundation for robotic systems that must sense their surroundings, process information and control physical movement. NVIDIA will contribute physical AI software development kits, open models and benefits through its Inception programme, supporting simulation, training and deployment. Microsoft will provide cloud and AI infrastructure through its Azure platform, alongside enterprise connections. “The future of robotics will be built through collaboration,” said Allan Frederiksen, Technology and Innovation Officer at Infineon. “As a semiconductor leader, we provide the electronics foundation that turns intelligence into motion. Through the Physical AI Growth Lab, we provide startups with access to technology expertise, development platforms and a strong ecosystem of industry partners and investors, helping accelerate the path from prototype to scalable real-world solutions. Startups are a melting pot of innovation, and together with our partners we aim to foster this momentum. We see physical AI as a major growth opportunity, and an entire ecosystem is forming around it, driving the technological leap toward autonomous robotic systems.” Accelerator offers cloud credits and investor access The four-month programme will operate in a hybrid format, including in-person sessions in Munich. Selected startups will receive access to Microsoft for Startups benefits, including up to $350,000 in Azure credits, NVIDIA development resources and Infineon’s hardware expertise. UnternehmerTUM Accelerator will provide access to more than 170 deep-tech mentors and a network of over 200 investors, alongside introductions to potential enterprise customers. Supporting robotics startups across EMEA The Physical AI Growth Lab is open to startups based in or developing solutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Applicants must have a working prototype or minimum viable product, at least one technical co-founder and a team of no more than 20 people. Eligible companies must have been founded within the past three years. The post Infineon, NVIDIA and Microsoft back European physical AI startups appeared first on eeNews Europe .
