Hamamatsu Photonics has established Hamamatsu Photonics Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore to strengthen its sales and logistics operations in Southeast Asia. The subsidiary is scheduled to begin operations in October 2026. The company cited the region’s economic growth, expanding manufacturing sector and developing supply chains as reasons for establishing a local base. It also expects increasingly sophisticated customer requirements to create opportunities for its business. Hamamatsu Photonics has previously supported Southeast Asian customers through sales and logistics networks managed by its subsidiaries in Europe and the United States. With the Singapore operation, the company plans to consolidate regional logistics and gradually move to a sales and distribution structure centered on the new hub. The changes are intended to improve cost competitiveness, shorten delivery lead times and strengthen customer service. Hamamatsu Photonics also plans to expand the subsidiary’s functions as the regional market grows, with further adjustments to its supply chain and service network.
